The Photographer, Alicia is located in Cincinnati Ohio, and serves the entire Cincinnati, Dayton & Northern Kentucky areas, specializing in thoughtful, natural, Portrait Photos, Family Photos, Baby & Child Photos, Engagement Photos, Wedding Photos, Senior Photos, Model Portfolios & Special Event Photos.
Alicia is dedicated to providing custom, unique, and interesting photos in a professional and timely manner, while making sure YOU are having fun during your photography session. Custom Photography by Alicia combines portraiture with candid shots for a memorable session and lasting images to treasure forever.
Smiles, frowns, quirks, pouts, kisses, laughter & playfulness are what Alicia trys to capture during your photography session with Custom Photography by Alicia . Alicia works outdoors with natural light, and deliver images that do not look over-posed or rehearsed.
Custom Photography by Alicia is very flexible with the session location and asks only that you choose a public area such as a park, church, or street, sporting event, playgroud etc., within the Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky areas. If you are interested in doing an indoor shoot, Custom Photography by Alicia has a variety of backdrops and digital background options, as well as lighting equipment necessary for indoor shots.
You are welcome to bring sentimental items, or small props to any photo shoot.
A few tips for the day of the photo shoot
Mid-tones: Black and white are great...and if you have the skin tone for these two colors...they can be beautiful in photos. However, you may want to avoid them because plain black or white colors can wash out some skin tones and cause lighting trouble. This may result in contrast problems with finished product. Try to wear colors closer to your skin tone. This will help accentuate your natural features.
Neckline: Is your neck short or long? A V-neck lengthens the neck; a round neckline shortens it. A collar frames the face well, without decreasing the length of your neck. A collared shirt with a V-neck or a few buttons undone is most popular. Turtlenecks completely hide the neck, which is very unflattering in photos and should be avoided.
Subdued/No Busy Patterns: Avoid bold colors such as neons and crazy patterns. They will present a distraction and keep you from focusing on the person in the photo.
Glasses: Go with contacts, or remove the glasses. If you need your glasses, go with frames only; lenses can cause a glare or reflect the flash, ruining a perfectly good shot.
Personal: Wear something that makes you feel great and relaxed. Shirts that are too short or too tight will not allow you to pose comfortably.
Avoid Logos: These will date the photos and present a distraction.
Limited Jewelry: Avoid distracting accessories, such as large, very shiny jewelry. If you have a pierced ear, wear studs or small hoops. No matter how much you love your big gold necklace, remember it will take the focus away from your face.
Make-Up Base: Use a good quality base that covers your skin without caking. You want your natural skin tones to show.
Skin Features: Do not hide your skin's personality! Flaunt your freckles. They are part of what makes you unique. Unusual features make others sit up and take notice. Unique attractive features are an asset.
Straight Hair: You want to frame your face, so if your hair is very straight and long, give it some body to accentuate your face.
Hot Muggy Days: Bring a tissue on hot days to blot shine.
Hairpiece or Hat: Great! You've got two looks. Definitely do a shot with and without it.
Dress for the Party: Don't put two people in really casual t-shirts and others in pretty dresses for the same photo. It will make the family photo look awkward.

Custom Photography by Alicia does on location photo shoots because of the natural light and background versatility. However, if you are seeking indoor photos, I do have lighting and backdrops available.
When setting the photo session appointment, be sure to let Alicia know how many people will be in the photo. The number of people in the photo does not change the price of the session.

1 HOUR PHOTO SESSION: $65 Family, Children, Baby or Portrait (includes a photo CD of all images mailed to your address within 3 business days)
MODELS: $75 for the 1st hour and 2 style change.
$100 for 1 1/2 hour and 3 style changes.
$150 for 2 hours and up to 4 style changes.
(all model sessions include a CD of all images mailed to your address within 3 business days)
SENIOR/GRAD PACKAGE: $150 (includes a 2 hour photo session, up to 4 style changes, CD of all images mailed to your address within 3 business days)
WEDDING PACKAGE: $300 (includes 2 1/2 hours, before and after wedding photos and reception photos, and a photo CD of all images mailed to your address within 3 business days)
Prints can be ordered on any package for an additional charge. Ask about custom package pricing.
Add and additional $30 to any session if you choose to have indoor photos.
All Session packages from Custom Photographt by Alicia include photo retouching.
YOU immediately own the rights to the photos and you may publish, distribute, or print any or all of the photos at your discretion once you receive your CD. Custom Photography by Alicia would like to use your photos for marketing or advertising purposes, permission forms are available.
Custom Photography by Alicia also does TFE (Time For Experience) free photo shoots. To qualify for a TFE shoot, you must be a professional artist, model, actor, musician, business owner or other artistic type. With these TFE shoots you will get a CD with all images. Although you will have rights to these photos, Custom Photography by Alicia can use your photos for advertising or marketing purposes.
